I'm actually updating my livejournal. Which means I must be incredibly bored. Must find a job to occupy myself. And to make money, because mooching off parents is lame.
Saw Troy tonight. Approved. Fuck literary purism, give me pointy sticks, bombast, and another reason to mock Orlando Bloom and I'm thoroughly entertained. Although I am disappointed that in a movie about classic greeks none of the men hit on each other. Quite sad.
Had to have a needle stuck in my arm yesterday. Ugh. And have been halfway diagnosed as having fibromyalgia. Which pretty much means I have sore muscles and a stiff neck all the time, chronic headaches, constant fatigue and a bevy of other fun symptoms. Nothing new, but it's nice to have a name for my feeling like shit all the time.
I get to go to Idaho Falls next weekend, see the boyfriend. Which will be a welcome diversion. Although my mother is convinced I'll break down on the way there and be kidnapped by a wandering hobo. Mothers. Bah.

I need to develop the ability to force myself to work. Because this procrastination thing is getting out of hand.

Yeah, so it's been a long time since I've updated this thing. A few of you people keep bugging me about it, so here you go. I'm updating for you, I hope you're happy.
I think it might genuinely be spring now. Reasons this is good: Don't need a bulky coat during the day, stuff is getting green, and my room isn't cold-as-fuck. Reasons this is bad: I'll defer to Eliot on this one, april being the cruellest month, etc. Although forgetful snow hasn't been covering the earth for quite sometime now.
Gina, do you ever check livejournal anymore?
Whoa, my hands are shaky. I think that means I should eat something. Curse the cafeteria for never having edible food. And for the abomination of 70s night yesterday. Disco and shitty quasi-fondue do not make an enjoyable eating experience.
Laura, you should send me your number so I can call you.

You are Mitsurugi -
Both mysterious and attractive, you captivate people with the fact that you seem to be good at everything! Spending quiet moments with a friend and talking about what life means to you is your ideal situation. You don't like to stand out very much and you seem to be more old-fashioned than modern, but when you do take the spotlight -- you command the floor!
Which Soul Calibur character are you?
this quiz was made by david park
bah, cheap samuri bastard.

There was a fire alarm at 8 this morning.
When we walked back in from said fire alarm, my hip joints hurt. I'd locked them to keep myself from shivering uncontrollably in the freezing air.
I'm going to find the person responsible for this fire drill. Then I'm going to shoot him in the kneecap, so he can't run. Then I'm going to rip off each testicle slowly. With needle nose plyers

My Greek-English Lexicon arrived!! I don't think it's normal to be so excited about a dictionary. It kind of looks like shit, the binding is worn, and the covers are quite tattred, but that adds to the charm. The publishing date is 1881. Inside the covers, one of the previous owners has written (in calligraphy) Class of 1890.

Gina, where the hell are you? Why do you not have internet yet? Or if you do, WHY ARE YOU NEVER HERE? YOU HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN MY DRAMA! And to fall through doors. I'm now wishing I'd done the Disney thing, so you could rub that in my face. Um, and you could piss off Laura with horrid spelling errors. Yes.
So come out of hiding you bitch-with-a-life.

Finally made it to the library. Checked out The Handmaiden's Tale, Wittgenstein's Poker, and The Secret History. Debated which to start first for awhile before I realized that I just cannot resist a book about pedantic greek scholars.
I'm tired. Need sleepy.

Is there any experience more pleasurable than buying books? I think not. Books bought today at barnes & nobles: The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass, and The Complete Poems of Stephen Crane (I <3 Stephen Crane. Because he is bitter. And because he is my heart)
Gina, I'm sad for you and your car. Very sad.
Life here is strange and family-filled.
That is all.
